Living In Medford Oregon and Bored?

People are always complaining that there is nothing to do in Medford. Whether you believe it or not there are all kinds of things to do in Medford.

There are a handful of online event calendars covering Medford. But the one I like the most is from iseesouthernoregon.com. It is stuffed full of things that are happening all over Southern Oregon, from Ashland to Grants Pass, and that covers a lot of ground. Plus it has a really good Medford business listings

I'm not kiiding, this really is the best event calendar for all of Southern Oregon. . There are things happening every day of the week and you don't even know it. As long as it's legal it's listed in this event calendar.

There are a couple of different things that I like about this event calendar.

1. The categorical themes make it really easy to navigate to things that are of interest to you. It covers things from community events, theater and performances, live music Medford, karaoke, dancing, classes, comedy shows, and many more. Which is why I like this event calendar Medford Oregon

2. It is searchable. Finding specific events in specifc cities is easy with the search function. This feature is really nice as it is a major time saver. Scroll though all the listing and you will be enlightened to all of the fun things happening. You will find something that sounds interesting.

3. Anyone can post an event on this calendar. You do have to be a member in order to post an event, however, your membership is free.

Although this is a great event calendar it is far from perfect. There are some features that I would like to see that I think would make it really cool. It would be really cool if the creators saw this article, liked my ideas and then put them into the site.

1. It would be nice if there was a notification system. If there are certain types of events that I like I wish I could get notified about them vs. having to check the site all the time. . That way I can plan appropriately. This is especially critical for me as I have young children and finding sitters at the last moment is tough. This feature request could already be part of their site. If it is I must have missed it.

2. Receiving a text message or email would be really nice as events are added in my interest category. Now this will probably make me sad more than anything as I will rarely be able to go to any of them on short notice, but hey, you never now.

I doubt number 2 on the things they could do to make this events calendar better will ever happen. Main reason being is that it is expensive or could be expensive to send out texts to people and this is a free service to the community. Still, it would be pretty cool.
